About RRT
Rohingya Relief Trust (RRT) is a community-based charity organization founded by a dedicated team of Rohingya scholars and volunteers in the world’s largest refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
We are committed to serving displaced Rohingya families — including widows, orphans, elders, and people with disabilities — through essential living support such as relief aid, clean water, education, food, clothing, shelter, and healthcare.
Our goal is to restore dignity, hope, and opportunity to those facing countless difficulties due to poor living conditions in the refugee camps. Together with our global supporters, we work to rebuild lives, restore dignity, and ensure that no one is left behind.
Our efforts are guided by the principles of empathy, equality, and collective responsibility.

Who Are Rohingya?
Rohingya are a predominantly Muslim ethnic group with a rich history and culture that dates back centuries in Myanmar’s Rakhine State. Despite this long-standing presence, they have faced systematic persecution and have been denied citizenship in Myanmar since 1982, effectively making them the world’s largest stateless population.
For decades, the Rohingya have been subjected to severe discrimination, violence, and human rights abuses, which the United Nations and other international bodies have described as ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity. This ongoing crisis has forced over a million Rohingya to flee their homes in successive waves to escape atrocities.
The World’s Largest Refugee Camp
The most recent and severe military crackdown in 2017 triggered a massive exodus, driving more than 700,000 Rohingya—including a vast number of women and children—across the border into Bangladesh. Most of these survivors now reside in the densely populated refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, which have become the largest and most crowded in the world.
It is here, in the face of immense hardship, that the Rohingya community strives to survive with dignity. They face immense challenges, including:
- Overcrowded and unsafe living conditions.
- Limited access to clean water, healthcare, and education.
- Reliance on humanitarian aid for basic survival.
Our Shared Humanity
At Rohingya Relief Trust, we believe that understanding the Rohingya’s plight is the first step toward meaningful action. They are not merely victims of a crisis; they are a resilient people—mothers, fathers, children, scholars, and farmers—who have lost everything but still hold onto hope.
Their story is one of profound loss, but also of incredible resilience. By learning who they are, you join a global community of supporters standing in solidarity with them.
The Rohingya are why we do what we do. They are our family, our neighbors, and the heart of our mission.
Your support makes a difference. Every act of kindness helps us rebuild lives and restore hope.
